Anna Popplewell as Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia

Anna was born in England in 1988 as the eldest of three children, all of whom are actors. She attended drama classes at Allsorts, which also served as an agency for child actors. Her first on screen role came in 1998 as Henrietta in Frenchman’s Creek. The following year she got her first role in a feature film as Betsey in Mansfield Park.

She took on a few more television and movie roles, including a role in the TV mini-series Love in a Cold Climate, which she acted in alongside her sister. After the series she took on a few more supporting roles including Maetge in Girl with a Pearl Earring. Her big break came in 2005 when she was chosen for a starring role as Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The interview took 18 months and Anna beat out more than 2000 other hopefuls for the part.

After The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe came The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Currently Anna has no upcoming projects, but there is little doubt that this aspiring actress will have some more starring roles soon.
