Features

10082009
We've got daily, weekly, and "sometimes" features. Which is to say you'll be treated to a daily, weekly, or "sometimes" post for said categories.

Celebrity of the Day

Our first daily feature is that of a random celebrity where fame can be attributed to starring in a movie, acting on the stage, making music, singing songs, writing a book, or even being an upstanding local! It's only going to get better shuffled and surprising as the days go by.

Musician of the Day

Music is embedded in us whether we can hear it or not, and there's a lot of musicians and their groups you might be interested in without knowing it!

Movie of the Week

A film every day seemed like a good idea, but it was putting a strain on our excellent writer. We're going to do this on a weekly basis and therefore keep up on interesting flicks!

TV Series of the Week

Much like movies, these are an opportunity to recognize a work of art and its sum rather than the individual artists. Since it is not about people, we're also doing this once a week.

Artist of the Week

Art adds cultural capital to the entire world and this e-column allows us to showcase the donors of that.

Author of the Week

I have been reading a lot and am really quite interested to fill this one up!

Decommissioned Features ...

Celebrity Bikini: Originally it started as a one-off post here and there, but then snowballed as the 2009 summer days graced us with dozens of sightings. Then as the direction of FanSiter took shape, focusing more on artists, I decided to stop posting these here (October 2009).

Game of the Day: I love video games and the sweet Nintendo nostalgia knows no bounds. Of course it's not just about my favorite old-school system, the NES, but games on all platforms. Equal opportunity gaming, my friends. I started reminiscing while on vacation in August 2009 and posted stuff well into September before stopping. This will probably come back at some point, but it may be on a different site. I'd really like to get interviews with the creators behind my favorite games.
